What's Another Year performed by Sjonni's Friends

New version released for free on May 9th 2011

Sjonni's Friends have made a new recording of one of Eurovision's most famous songs, What's Another Year. The song was performed by Johnny Logan and was Ireland’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980. Composed by Shay Healy, the song reached number one in the UK for two weeks in May.

Sjonni's Friends recorded their version of this historic song in the last two days and release it on Monday May 9th. The recording of the song took place in room 330 in the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Düsseldorf. Since arriving in Dusseldorf Sjonni's Friends and family have been feeling a lot of support from ESC fans and press. The performance of an ESC medley brought the house down at their press meeting on Friday the 6th. Their recording of this beautiful song is meant to show their gratitude. It is a gift to ESC fans all over the world. The message is simple – Love is You!

Sjonni’s Friends represent Iceland in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. They will perform their song, Coming Home, by the late Sjonni Brink and his wife Thorunn Clausen, in The Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf on Tuesday the 10th of May. What’s Another Year is performed by Sjonni’s Friends. It is recorded and mixed by Addi800.
